Frequently Asked Questions
1. How long has Acupuncture and Chinese medicine been around for?
It has been around for longer than you think; it dates back to 1000BC!
As long as it has been around for, its treatments and results still remains traditional and natural.
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine is becoming increasingly familiarised in the Western society for its effectiveness.
2. Are there any possible side-effects?
Acupuncture is well-known for being free of side-effects as it is solely based on natural remedies and formulas which is far from containing chemical products and substances that can potentially cause fatal side-effects.
Its natural quality forms a unique harmony with our bodies and only produces positive results.
3. How big are the needles and do they hurt?
They are so tiny you can hardly see them or feel them so don't worry!
Because they are so thin, you'll only feel a gentle tap from the acupuncturist rather than pain when it goes in. Once it's in and the acupuncturist tweaks its position, that's when you may feel a slight ache not pain.
4. How is it different to typical Western medical treatment?
While Western medicine focus on quick relief in pain and symptoms, oriental Chinese treatment focus on finding out the root of causes and help restoring the body to its original healthy form. It also focuses on preventing diseases as much as treating them.
5. How quickly do the results show?
Like all treatments, this all depends on how much the illness has progressed and what your body needs. However, normally, your acupuncturist will undergo various tests like pulse taking, verbal discussions, etc to diagnose what your body is lacking and what is needs. Then from as quickly as one hour-long session to a few more sessions, you can anticipate positive results.
6. Is acupuncture safe with children?
Yes of course! As much as the treatment is natural, it can't be anymore safe to children than any other types of treatment. Again, with its non-chemical formulas, it is safe to say that it is perfectly healthy and appropriate for children and because of their young age, children tend to generate positive results much more quickly than adults.
I have suffered with Chronic Migraines for as long as I can remember and as a regular patient of Angelina Lee's since 2013. I have had an extremely positive experience. Her treatment has been a crucial part of enjoying my life again. Angelina's attention to detail and holistic approach have restored my body's natural balance and reduced so much of the pain, stress and anxiety I was feeling. Not only for the Migraines but other injuries such as a shoulder cuff tear, lower back and neck accidents, just to mention a few. Recently Angelina also treated my Father aged 71 recovering from a knee replacement surgery this year. He is benefiting from her with reduced swelling and better circulation. Angelina is very focused on her patients and carefully listens to their history. She is totally engaged in the healing process involved with acupuncture. She comes highly recommend from our family.

I would highly recommend this clinic and the practice of acupuncture. It was honestly a good experience and I have been cured from all the massive pain that I had in my lower back after hitting and falling over. I found the cupping really effective and the needles were seriously not painful. I didn't even feel I had needles on my body. Angelina Lee is really good and I believed she would help me and finally I am fit now. I would rate this clinic 5/5 stars.
Thank you so much Angelina :)
